A Trip to the Zoo

I forgot to blog about this! The last Wednesday in December the Zoo was free. It was a REALLY warm day considering it was December so we went! Shawn was home from work for some reason, so I was able to just take the girls. Shawn's sister and her family were in town from Cali for Christmas so we invited them to come along. Casey is Cambree's age and they have lots of fun together. My nephew, Jeff, also came. All the other cousins are too told for this sort of thing. :)
The kids
Waiting for Moe outside the stinky reptile house!
Sadie was good, like always, in her stroller.
A zoo keeper came out with a hawk and told us all about it.
The animals were surprisingly active! The elephant had a baby and they were walking all over the place pushing rocks and logs. The giraffes were milling around too and the monkeys were swinging all over the place putting on a show. It was really a great day!

Mary Poppins

Holey Moley! I'm behind! So Cambree's dance recital was back in January. It was Mary Poppins and SO CUTE!! LOVED it! The songs were awesome and the dancing was great! Cambree had a fun time, of course. She was a mouse in the "Jolly Holiday" number and a bird in "Feed the Birds". We also watched the Mary Poppins movie on Saturday so the kids could see more of what it was all about.
Just look for the tall blonde one...5th from the right.
Cambree's the tall mouse in the back waiting for her turn to dance. I'm sure she didn't mind watching Mary and Bert dance. :)
They perform 2 nights. Shawn and Brinley went the first night and so did his parents. We got a sitter for Sadie and Easton. The next night, I went by myself and sat with my parents and my brother and his family. Shawn's sister, her husband and a few of their kids came too. It's free and a great show so everyone likes to go! TDC always does a great job!
Justus did not want to be in the picture, so J.J. was trying to hold him there. haha!
I also got to do the poster again. I designed the whole thing and took the picture of "Mary". It definitely stretches my talents and I like that!

Easton-4 Months Old

This little guy is not so little anymore. I took him to his Well Check appointment (at the end of January) and he is 18 pounds! I figured he would be that much. He's such a chunk. His height and head were in the 80th percentile. So very normal for our kids. :) He also ended up having a double ear infection (the amoxicillan gave him a rash but he's not allergic). I wondered why he was suddenly being so fussy when I would lay him down. Although I thought maybe it was still the affects of not having his pacifier. I was finally fed up with him! I would put him down for a nap and 20 minutes later he would wake up wanting his bink. We even tried a different brand but he would gag on it. So after doing that SO many times, I was D-O-N-E!! (At least he only did this for his naps on not at night.) He cried screamed for an hour and a 1/2 that first nap. He is a stubborn little guy. The next nap was slightly better. It eventually got better with a few rough ones here and there. He is ALMOST sleeping through the night! Some nights he wakes up at 2 a.m. and wants to be fed. I make him cry until he goes back to sleep (that's what the doc told me to do)...that's anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 minutes. Sometimes he makes it until 4 or 5 a.m. and then I'm nice and he gets a feeding. :)
He talks and coos so cute with an occasional girly scream when he's really happy.
He doesn't quite roll over yet.
He loves to bat at a ball on his play gym and he can grab toys which can entertain him for a little while.
He is a MAJOR drooler and has pooped out of his pants more times than I can count!
His fingernails grow REALLY fast and he's always cutting his face with them. :(
I took this one by least we're both in the frame! I just love to love on him!
We sure love him so much!

Hancock Christmas Party

I love how we do Christmas around here with both our families. My side does stuff on and around Christmas, the Hancocks do Christmas around New Year's. It's really great! And the spirit of Christmas stays around longer. :)
Everyone from Shawn's family was here! It was great having everyone around. The adults went to 2 movies at the theater-the 2nd Sherlock Holmes movie and the 3rd? Mission Impossible movie. We haven't been to the movies in a really long time so it was fun to go to 2! Both were really good but I think I liked Mission Impossible more. It was more like the first one which was great! After Sherlock Holmes we all came to our house to play games and have ice cream...more like hot chocolate.
We all got together for the Christmas party on Friday at my in-law's house. The cousins exchanged gifts and so did the adults. I got a frame from my SIL with the letters HANCOCK made out of pictures. It was great!
Sadie really liked Cambree's monkey. Too cute!
No picture of Easton. He was sleeping. But he got some cool sports balls that fit into each other like a puzzle.
All the grandkids-minus Easton...still asleep. This just might be it for the Grandkids! We are the last ones having them.
We also had a blue elephant. We gave some pretty good ones-a flying chicken that cocka-doodle-dooed and a pen that looked like a finger and when you pulled it it farted. Very classy. :) We REALLY wanted a sweet Napolean Dynamite clock but it got stolen. My BIL got a video that was titled, "Taking Control of your Hair Loss". He has no hair so that was too perfect!

New Year's Eve we all partied at our house. We had TONS of food, played fun games (He said, She said, and a fun guessing game that Breanne showed us), and then pulled out the silly string when it was time to ring in the new year!  Bryce got it the worst!

Love the holidays. Now I have to live in the present or at least in the new year 2012! I'm slowly getting caught up. :)
