My Baby Model

I have so many other things to catch-up about, but I wanted to post this. The website is FINALLY up with the pictures from Sadie's shoot! They are cute but I swear she was smiling in some of them. Oh well. She has her picture in 3 different spots. Here is the website:
This one shows up on the home page:
This one shows up when you go to buy this sling:
And this one is in the gallery. They also sell baby legs.
I really wish Sadie could've lasted longer so we could do the outdoor ones. Those are my fav. It was such a fun experience, though. Hopefully I find more opportunities like that, but it's not very likely.

Swim Lessons

This year we did swim lessons with friends. This was really fun for me to have someone to talk to and fun for the girls. Cambree has always been my more cautious child and the first day didn't even want to get in the water. Way worse than last year. There was a substitute boy teacher and it was too deep. Those were her reasons. Finally, for the last 5 minutes of class, I was able to bribe/threaten/beg her to get into the water.  Oh boy. So the next day, I really talked it up and she was excited and the girl teacher was there. It took her a few minutes to warm up to the teacher but she did get in and was great the rest of the time. Whew! That girl can sure be so stubborn. I wonder where she gets that from?
My pictures are never very good of swimming lessons. I think I must be too tired/hot/watching Sadie that I just sit there and zoom in. Oh well.
Cambree's the one with short hair not facing me. Her friend, Brooklyn has the goggles on.
There's Brinley, clear over there with the teacher and the goggles!
I love having my girls in swim lessons, even though it's a rough 2 weeks schedule-wise. It helps me get a start on my tan for the summer, except I'm still so white you wouldn't know it! :)

Oh! I've been meaning to post this for a while! My wonderful, amazing, always-think-before-you-speak husband TOTALLY slipped! It was awesome! It was a particularly rushed weekday. As soon as he got home, we went out to grab something to eat at a drive-thru, ate on the way to a wedding reception, and then I was leaving from there to my sister's bridal shower. Not that our evening has anything to do with anything, I just thought I'd throw that in there for journaling's sake. Anyway, we get to the wedding reception of a girl that Shawn used to work with. She's moving out-of-state after the wedding, thank goodness. We're waiting in line to greet the couple and Brinley and Cambree commented about how beautiful her wedding dress was. So when we get talking to the newly married couple, Shawn tells her, "My girls think your bress, I mean, your dress is beautiful." Ok, now say that word out loud. Yeah, it sounds just like breasts! Oh my gosh! I was trying so hard not to laugh. She and her husband and her parents just acted like they didn't hear it! It was so funny. I'm STILL dying over it.
And just cuz we're talking about Shawn, this is how he listens to his mom on the phone. Listening but not really listening. :)

I love that boy. :)

4th of July

Ok, so I'm a LITTLE bit behind. Summer's been busy!
I can't believe this is the first time I've been in Utah for the 4th of July in 2 years (just happened to be on vacations during that time). So it was nice to hang with family. We stayed the night at Shawn's parents' house because I had a wedding the day before (see pictures here) and then we took the girls to a movie while we put Sadie to bed at my MIL's. It was fun to just take the older girls out. "How to Train Your Dragon" was such a cute movie. :)
The next morning was a little chilly for a neighborhood breakfast, so we didn't stay long. During the day, we swam at my MIL's community pool with cousins-even though it was a little chilly. (We also shopped and got a killer deal on a computer desk!! Our old one is SO ghetto. I can't wait to have it delivered!) In the evening, my brother invited us over to their house for a BBQ, which was really nice since my SIL is due with her baby any day! The kids played, we ate, we played water balloon volleyball-a favorite past time, played Apples to Apples, and had our own fireworks show. The wind made it interesting.
This is Cambree and Sadie all the time. She LOVES to bug, I mean hug and carry Sadie everywhere. It gets a little annoying.

I'm so blessed to live in this country where I am free to think and act and practice whatever religion I choose. God Bless America.

Timpanogas Caves

A few weeks ago we finally did it! We made it to the caves! Remember this post from the last time we tried? Our girls have been so excited to hike them ever since we moved here and this time we did it. The girls did great on the hike as usual. Our friends, the Healds, came with us too.
I love how everyone looks surprised. I guess the flash will do that to ya.
At first, Cambree kept asking if there were monsters in the caves. Then, she wondered about dinosaurs, or tigers or bears. Luckily, we didn't see any except for the Brontosaurus rock head.
Now, for a little story. Cambree went to the bathroom at the bottom of the trail before we started hiking. But with all the water she drank on the hike, she needed to go to the bathroom about 1/2 way through the cave tour. I told her she'd have to wait and that there were no bathrooms in the cave. The tour guide told me they had pee bags available if I really needed it. I tried distracting Cambree to hold her off for a bit but it didn't work. She had to go! So I asked to have a pee bag and we went ahead of the group a little ways and she peed a river! I was worried I'd need another bag! Nice. I'll never forget that experience!
Not even a week later at Shawn's softball game she had to go again! Again, no access to bathrooms so she went on a tree (and all over herself). I think I need to invest in some pee bags. Ugh.
All done!!
Sadie was still happy at the end of it all.

Splash Park

It was another great field trip to the Splash Park. Lots of friends from the neighborhood showed up so it was really fun for the kids and moms. :)
Cambree wouldn't let go of Megan's hand. She found a new friend. Megan was so nice to put up with her. The older girls were so great with watching out for all the little ones.
This is all Sadie wanted to do:

And this:
Brinley is always all over the place. Have I mentioned that she LOVES water? Good times.
